I thought this was worth mentioning, you know, just in case. . . .

The reading of the Mayan calendar was wrong, according to a conspiracy theory floating around on Twitter.

If you thought COVID-19, civil unrest, locusts, volcanic eruptions, hurricanes, and fires signaled Armageddon — you may be right!

I’m not into conspiracy theories, frankly we have enough to worry about without looking for something to add to 2020 but . . .

According to the NYPOST.COM

The reading of the Mayan calendar was wrong, according to a conspiracy theory on Twitter, and while the world didn’t end on Dec. 21, 2012, as originally prophesied by calendar readers, Mayan doomsday is sometime this week or next.

“Following the Julian Calendar, we are technically in 2012 … The number of days lost in a year due to the shift into Gregorian Calendar is 11 days … For 268 years using the Gregorian Calendar (1752-2020) times 11 days = 2,948 days. 2,948 days / 365 days (per year) = 8 years,” scientist Paolo Tagaloguin tweeted last week, according to the Sun. The series of tweets has since been deleted.

If Tagaloguin is correct, adding up all the missed days, then the Mayan doomsday date is … this week.

In 2012, doomsday theorists were convinced the world was ending on Dec. 21, and hordes of believers flocked to Mayan sites in Mexico and Guatemala — only to be left disappointed and dirty due to the lack of sanitation at ancient Mayan pyramids.

On a side note, we heard on the radio this morning that scientists in Britain have concluded there may be as many as thirty-six planets with intelligent alien life in the Milky Way Galaxy. Since we don’t seem to have the answers for many of our planets problems, maybe some friendly aliens have the answers for us. I hope they don’t say anything about probes! Maybe we’ll all be beamed up to a happy planet. You know the one with unicorns and rainbows, clean water and fresh air.

I only bring this up as a public service, in case you didn’t have anything to think about today.

All ready done! I thought this sequence of end of time and the aliens was just too good to pass up.

Thanks for reading me, Cindy. I appreciate your support. We might have a Star Trek moment at any time!
